HOTEL MAMÁ is the first hotel from Grupo Cappuccino, known for its premium restaurants and cafes located in prestigious locations including Mallorca, Ibiza, Madrid, Valencia, Marbella, Jeddah and Beirut. Which opened it's doors this spring 2018 at the heart of Palma’s historic quarter, Plaza De Cort.

The property has been designed by the well-known Parisian interior designer Jacques Grange, considered one of the best interior designers worldwide, and famed for creating properties including the beautiful Palazzo Margarita in Southern Italy and The Mark Hotel in New York.

Grange’s unique eye for detail and bold vision can be seen throughout the hotel’s architecture and décor. All of the furniture in HOTEL MAMÁ has been created or adapted by Jacques Grange for the project and has been made-to-measure between France, Italy and New York.

The 19th century building has 32 exclusive rooms, with five bespoke styles including Marella, Celadon, Garden, Oriental and Roman. There are eight suites, all of which face the famous Plaza De Cort. A further eight deluxe rooms, eight superior rooms and eight standard rooms will also boast views of the historical quarter of the city.

Throughout the Hotel, you can appreciate an extensive art collection, including works from Sean Scully, Wendy Artin, Chales Maze, David Rochline, Marie Banier and Eva Jospin, all personal favourites of Grupo Cappuccino owner, Juan Picornell.

Spanning four floors, the hotel includes a sumptuous spa within a 19th century building, private cinema 'Cappucine', rooftop pool, gym and sunny central patio in the heart of Palma. It will also house a stunning new Cappuccino Grand Café, offering classic brunch dishes and traditional cocktails.

Born of the thought and art of interior designer Jacques Grange, these spaces captivated by a measured eclecticism that combines 'Mallorcan' tradition with the Muslim footprint of the city. Memories represented in the main prominence of the light in the bedroom and living area, with furniture carefully chosen to offer a magical experience in a privileged place in the centre of Palma.

ZADIG & VOLTAIRE BRINGS A STREETWISE FRENCH TWIST TO NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Backstage at Cedar Lake, an event space in Chelsea, a crowd was bustling around with purpose. Models, dressers, hair and makeup stylists, photographers and publicists were prepping for Zadig & Voltaire’s runway show for Fall 2018, which was to start in a little less than an hour. But unlike most presentations at New York Fashion Week, an occasion that usually encapsulates bedlam, this one appeared a little less harried.

“This season, my message is to confirm that Zadig & Voltaire is the contemporary rock ‘n’ roll brand,” Bönström explained. “For me, the girls are very delicate but, at the same time, very rock. There are a lot of legs, a lot of skin. There’s leather and knitwear with perfect, sexy cocktail dresses.”

This year, Zadig & Voltaire is celebrating its 20th anniversary, a benchmark that is seldom achieved, especially in luxury. With the state of fashion in flux now that spending habits have shifted toward Instagram-worthy experiences, many are left scrambling to find their footing in markets across the globe. The brand has stayed above the fray, relatively speaking, because it doesn’t deviate from its original message. Even when the trend of the moment is something radically different from it’s core aesthetic, it stays true to itself—something that the Zadig & Voltaire’s founder, Thierry Gillier, 58, learned early on.

Mid-way between Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Avenue Montaigne, a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées, where the heart of Paris beats. Scattered here and there are beautiful marble fireplaces, and everywhere the joy of vast indoor spaces, typical of Haussmann-style apartments. The noble and generous materials exude a forgotten spirit of generosity. More suites than rooms, a library reserved for guests and their friends, a smoking lounge, a 16-meter indoor pool (a rarity in Paris), wine cellars in the suites, an inner courtyard with lush greenery echoing the landscaped entrance. At La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa, you experience the quintessence of Parisian chic in the Belle Époque.

Lunchtime at La Pagode de Cos

Paris-Bordeaux… The latest Jérôme Banctel restaurant pays tribute to Cos d’Estournel, Second Grand cru classé Saint-Estèphe belonging to La Réserve owner Michel Reybier. The only chateau in the Bordeaux region to feature exotic pagodas, it was indeed the first to export its production to India. La Pagode de Cos perpetuates this spirit of epicurean creativity. Within the elegant setting of the private mansion at 42, Avenue Gabriel, La Pagode de Cos exalts all the distinctive codes of the French art of living, exemplified in its flowered silk-upholstered armchairs, its finely wrought gilded woodwork and its monumental fireplace.

Under the supervision of Executive Chef Jérome Banctel, Emmanuel Sibileau offers fascinating variations on the theme of contemporary seasonal cuisine, constantly evolving yet perpetually inspired by the classics of traditional Bordeaux cuisine.

From refined starters to the spectacular solid silver dessert trolley, a meal here brings a succession of delicious surprises, to be savored visually before enjoying their delicate flavors. Both at lunch and dinner, the “Carte Blanche” menus provide an opportunity to discover the creations of two-star Michelin chef Jérôme Banctel, resolutely based on market produce.
